Field officers

A field officer is the staff member responsible for a group or a client. You can assign an officer at two levels:

  • Group officer: responsible for the whole group.
  • Client officer: responsible for one client. A client's own officer takes priority over their group's officer.

Clients with no officer of their own fall under their group's officer. The officer appears on the client's statement as Field officer.

If your role cannot assign officers, the Field Officer card is read-only. It shows the assigned officer's name, or Unassigned.

Only active staff in an officer role appear in the list of officers you can choose.

Assign an officer to a group

  1. In the sidebar, under CRM, click Groups, then click View on the group.
  2. In the Field Officer card, click the Assigned officer box.
  3. Pick an officer from the list.

The change saves straight away, and you see "Officer set to name".

To clear the officer, click the clear (x) button in the Assigned officer box. You see "Officer cleared".

Assign an officer to a client

  1. Open the client and stay on the Overview tab.
  2. In the right-hand column, find the Field Officer card. It notes that it "Overrides the client's group officer."
  3. Click the Assigned officer box and pick an officer.

The change saves straight away. To clear it, click the clear (x) button in the box. The client then falls back to their group's officer.

note

The client's Field Officer card shows only an officer assigned to that client. If the box is empty, the client is still covered by their group's officer. Open the group to see who that is.
