Signing in and out

You sign in to the platform with your own account. Every account belongs to one or more organisations, and each time you sign in you sign in to one organisation.

Signing in with a username or email

  1. Open the platform's web address in your browser. The sign-in page says Welcome back.
  2. If an Organization list is shown, choose your organisation from it. The list remembers the organisation you last signed in to on this browser, so usually it is already selected. If your web address already identifies your organisation, the list is not shown at all.
  3. In Username or Email, enter your username or your email address.
  4. In Password, enter your password.
  5. Select Sign In.

You arrive on the Dashboard.

If a field is left empty, the form tells you what is missing: "Organization is required", "Username or email is required" or "Password is required".

Signing in with Google or Microsoft

Some organisations let staff sign in with their Google or Microsoft work account. When this is set up, the sign-in page shows Sign in with Google and Sign in with Microsoft under the words "or continue with".

  1. Choose your organisation in the Organization list, if it is shown.
  2. Select Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft.
  3. Complete the sign-in in the window that opens.

If your account was created from an invitation, you must use this method: such accounts have no password on the platform.

Accepting an invitation

New staff are added by invitation. Your administrator or Branch Manager sends you a link (by email, message or any other channel they choose - the platform does not send it for you).

  1. Open the invitation link. The page says Accept Invitation and shows the organisation you are joining, the email address the invitation was made for, your role, and when the invitation expires.
  2. Select Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft, and sign in with the account that has the same email address as the invitation.
  3. Your account is created and you arrive on the Dashboard.

From then on, sign in from the normal sign-in page using the same Google or Microsoft button.

If the page says "This invitation link is invalid or has expired", or "Invalid or expired invitation", ask for a new invitation. Invitations expire seven days after they are created, and each link works only once.

If the page says "OAuth authentication is not configured. Please contact your administrator.", Google and Microsoft sign-in is not set up for this platform, so the invitation cannot be accepted. Contact your administrator.

Changing your password

If you sign in with a password, you can change it yourself.

  1. Select your initials in the top right corner, then Profile (or select My Profile in the left-hand menu).
  2. Under Change Password, enter your Current Password, then your New Password (at least 8 characters) and Confirm Password.
  3. Select Change Password.

If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, change your password with Google or Microsoft instead.

How long you stay signed in

You stay signed in on that browser, even if you close it, until you sign out or your session expires. Sessions expire after a fixed period (30 minutes by default). When your session has expired, the next thing you do takes you back to the sign-in page, and you need to sign in again.

caution

Anything you had typed but not saved is lost when your session expires. On long forms, save as you go.

Signing out

  1. Select your initials in the top right corner.
  2. Select Logout.

Always sign out on a shared or public computer.

Working in a different organisation

If you belong to more than one organisation, sign out and sign in again, choosing the other organisation in the Organization list. The name of the organisation you are working in is shown in the top bar, next to your initials.

If you cannot sign in

What happensWhat it means and what to do
The sign-in page reloads with the password cleared and no message.Your details were not accepted. Check that the right organisation is selected, then re-enter your username or email and password (check Caps Lock). The same happens if your account has been deactivated or does not belong to the organisation you chose.
You normally use Google or Microsoft but tried a password.Accounts created from an invitation have no password. Use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft.
The Organization list is empty or your organisation is missing.Your organisation may have been deactivated, or the platform cannot be reached. Contact your administrator.
You have forgotten your password. There is no self-service password reset. Contact your administrator.
Your invitation link does not work.It may have expired, been used already, or been cancelled. Ask for a new invitation.

After you have signed in, a page that says Access Denied means your role does not include that screen. See Roles and permissions, and contact your administrator if you think your role is wrong.
