Reports and cash
The Reporting part of the left-hand menu has two screens.
| Screen | What it is for | Who can open it |
|---|---|---|
| Reports | Portfolio, collections, risk and officer reports, plus the financial statements | Everyone who can sign in |
| Cash Management | The day's cash book, end-of-day till count, bank deposits and operating expenses | Branch Managers, Area Managers and Admins |
Collection Officers do not see Cash Management in the menu.
In this section
- The Reports screen - how to choose a report, what the Portfolio, Collections, PAR and Officer Performance reports show, and how to print or export.
- Financial statements - the Trial Balance, Profit & Loss (Income Statement), Balance Sheet and GL Account Statement.
- Cash management - the daily cash book, counting the till, recording a bank deposit and recording an operating expense.
- How the books work - a plain-language guide for managers to double entry, the account groups, and where loan and savings money is recorded.
Everything comes from the same records
You never type figures into a report. Every report and statement is calculated from the transactions staff record in the normal course of work: loan disbursements, collections, fees, savings, bank deposits and expenses. If a figure looks wrong, the cause is a transaction that was recorded wrongly, not the report.
