Document types
Document types are the choices staff pick from when they upload a document for a client, such as a national ID card or a photograph. They are grouped into categories. You can also mark which types count towards KYC (know-your-customer) requirements.
Who can use it: Admin, Proprietor, Branch Manager. Only an Admin or the Proprietor can reset the list to the defaults.
Opening the document types
- Select Settings in the User part of the left-hand menu.
- Select the Document Types tab.
The list is grouped by category, with the number of types in each.
Adding a document type
- Select Add Type.
- In Category, choose an existing category, or select Create new category and enter a New Category name. (Use existing category switches back.)
- Enter the Document Type Name.
- Select Add.
Marking a type as required for KYC
Select the KYC chip on the type. Its tooltip says Mark as KYC required or Remove KYC requirement. Categories that contain a KYC type are shown as KYC requirements on the client form, so staff can see which identity documents are still missing.
Deactivating, activating or deleting a type
- Deactivate / Activate - hides the type from staff, or shows it again, without losing it.
- Delete permanently - removes the type from the list.
Resetting to the default list
- Select Reset.
- Read the warning and select Reset to Defaults.
Resetting removes every document type your organisation added and restores the default list. Documents already uploaded are not affected.
